WHY CERAMICS
I chose ceramics this semester because I saw that many of my friends were enjoying it. I have never really done an art class in my life and I really love ceramics. I plan to take ceramics for as long as I can to grow my knowledge and try new things.
On the right is a video of my glazing technique. |

Elements of Ceramics
Class of 2020
For my show this spring I decided to do a collection of unique swirled pieces. I chose this idea because of how every pot is different. There is no pot that will ever be the same with this glaze, it is unique, entrancing and you can't help but think of the possibilities. I saw one of my peers who was doing the swirled glaze technique and I asked for help from them. At the beginning of the semester I wanted to do bowls only, but as I went on glazing I chose my favorite of the many pieces I made. In my display you can see some things that really stand out, you can also see the growth of my work in every piece of artwork.
